Acorn Dairy is a family farm & dairy processing business with its organic, grazing roots in the Durham & Yorkshire Dales.
Established in 2000, Acorn Dairy was an early advocate of organic farming in the region. Processing milk from their home herd of Dairy Shorthorns, Graham Tweddle is a past winner of Northern Dairy Farmer of the Year and the business won Soil Association Best Dairy 2014, Best Dairy Supplier in the England Food Awards 2017 and holds Compassion in World Farming Good Dairy Award for high cow and calf welfare, in addition to its organic credentials.
The business has a dual supply aspect: catering supply focused within the North East, Manchester & London regions as well as a doorstep supply around local towns in North Yorkshire & Co Durham.
In 2018, Acorn Dairy developed a new line focused on the technical requirements of their coffee-loving customer base. The organic Barista Milks are ideal for cafés who are conscious of their eco footprint and the welfare of the animals producing their foods, and who want to source the best milk they can to showcase their teas & coffees. This is now widely available across the north & east of England, including London.
