These overnight oat jars are made using wholesome ingredients and are super tasty. Perfect for making ahead of time, try making at the weekend for a grab-and-go weekday breakfast.

Method

  1. Start by mixing the rolled oats with the chia seeds, adding the milk, maple syrup and apple-pie spice. Stir well. Set aside to soak for at least 10 minutes or, for best results, keep in the fridge overnight.
  2. To make the homemade apple purée, chop 2 apples and simmer them with a bit of water for 10-15 minutes. Then simply mash them using a fork or a handblender. To decorate the breakfast jar, you can stick some edible flowers on the inside of the glass. To help them stick, you can use a bit of honey.
  3. Layer the overnight oats with the yogurt, then top with the apple purée. Add a few flowers and apple slices and sprinkle with some apple-pie spice (or just cinnamon). Enjoy.
